ProTorque, founded in 1983, is family owned and operated. ProTorque has grown from a small, local torque converter rebuilder, to a full-line manufacturing facility with an R & D division and world-wide marketing and sales capabilities. Since its inception, ProTorque has focused on quality and quality has been the reason for its phenomenal growth and customer loyalty.
ProTorque's product line includes the highest quality remanufactured torque converters available, specializing in hard-to-find units including imports, antiques and industrial models. The Research and Development division was started when "Mr. Joe" began developing torque converters for his own street rod projects. Ever since then high performance torque converters have been ProTorque's passion.

The next generation of torque converters has been led by Joe Rivera Jr. who literally grew up in this business. Now ProTorque's General Manager, Lead Developer and Performance Salesman, Joe Jr brings a level of passion and energy seldom seen in the transmission industry. He has brought an immense knowledge of computers and technology to the business that has catapulted ProTorque to the forefront of the torque converter industry.
Joe's motto is "knowledge is power but actions are powerful."
ProTorque has state of the art equipment and machines designed and built by ProTorque specifically for developing and building new high-tech performance converters.
Our research and development team is working on everything from torque converters for the fastest race cars in the world to new vehicle applications for the latest performance and muscle cars on the road today.

Larry Cernilli, our technical director and head of the CNC department, has over 30 years experience in the torque converter industry and is the lead designer of the CAD/CAM program.
Jeff Sherman, with over 25 years of experience in the torque converter industry keeps the production line moving to get orders out as quickly as possible.
Christine Werner has over 20 years in management and customer service experience. Besides keeping the office running, she manages Joe's schedule and supports the entire ProTorque Team so they can provide excellent service and a superior product.
There is also a dedicated and enthusiastic group of sales assistants, shop technicians, and shipping and receiving staff working hard to meet our customer's needs.
