Pro-Torque’s C5 torque converters are available in two stall speeds: 2400rpm which is ideal for most street applications, and 2800rpm for street and strip use where larger or stickier tires will be used to harness the overwhelming torque available at the rear wheels. Both models are built on a 10 1/2-inch-diameter core strengthened with furnace-brazed fins, Torrington thrust bearings in place of plain thrust washers, anti-ballooning plates, and larger carbon ceramic lock-up clutches. Pro-Torque’s proprietary manufacturing equipment ensures precise internal tolerances and balance.
